Most important adverse effects
Symptoms of Exposure Inhalation Vapors liberated during high temperature processing may be hazardous if inhaled. Polymer fume fever. Skin contact Redness. Eye contact Mild eye irritation. Redness. Excessive watering. Ingestion Irritating to mouth, throat and stomach. Specific hazards Exposure, in sufficient quantities, to the thermal decomposition vapors of fluorinated polymers may cause "polymer fume fever" with flu-like symptoms in humans. The symptoms of "polymer fume fever" are chills / fever / chest pains / shortness of breath / coughing. The symptoms usually pass in 48 to 72 hours and have no lasting or cumulative effect.
