SECTION 2: Hazards identification
2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
The product has not been classified as hazardous according to the legislation in force.
Supplemental label elements
EUH210 Safety data sheet available on request
2.3 Other hazards
Electrical Shock can kill. If welding must be performed in damp locations or with wet clothing, on metal structures or when in cramped positions such as sitting, kneeling or lying, or if there is a high risk of unavoidable or accidental contact with work piece, use the following equipment: Semiautomatic DC Welder, DC Manual (Stick) Welder, or AC Welder with Reduced Voltage Control. Arc rays can injure eyes and burn skin. Welding arc and sparks can ignite combustibles and flammable materials. Overexposure to welding fumes and gases can be hazardous. Read and understand the manufacturer’s instructions, Safety Data Sheets and the precautionary labels before using this product. Refer to Section 8. Substance(s) formed under the conditions of use This type of welding or allied process may produce airborne fumes and gases when used. Read the hazardous decomposition statement in Section 10 of this SDS before using this product. Use adequate ventilation to prevent overexposures. Products or alloys that contain chromium may produce compounds containing hexavalent chromium (CrVI) as a byproduct in the fume. Overexposure to airborne hexavalent chromium may cause lung cancer. Welding and allied processes may produce gases as a byproduct. In addition to those utilized for shielding, gases generated during hot work may include carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide (NOx), and fluoride. (Electric arc processes may also produce ozone gas.) These gases can be corrosive to skin and eyes, and overexposure may result in nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, skin or eye irritation or damage, neurological impairment and /or lung damage. Gases used with or produced by these processes can concentrate and displace oxygen in confined or restricted spaces resulting in asphyxiation.
