Potential Acute Health Effects
Eyes: Causes irritation experienced as pain, seen as extreme redness and swelling of the eye. This product can cause chemical burns. Skin: Corrosive to skin on contact. Skin contact may produce burns, possibly methemoglobinemia (with symptoms of cyanosis). Ingestion: May cause burns to mouth, throat and stomach. Aspiration may occur during swallowing or vomiting, resulting in lung damage. Inhalation: Inhalation of the spray mist or form vapours (especially those generated from heating the product) may produce severe irritation of the nose, throat and respiratory tract.
