Quartz is classified by IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) as carcinogenic to humans by inhalation (Group I). Irritating to skin. Risk of serious damage to eyes. Contains chromium (VI). May cause allergic reactions. Inhalation: Causes respiratory tract irritation. Quartz can cause silicosis, lung cancer and other lung diseases on prolonged exposure. Eye Contact: Causes serious eye damage. Skin Contact: Irritant to skin and mucous membranes. Product may develop heat upon hardening causing injury.
