SECTION 2: Hazards identification
May cause irritation of the skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. Splashes in the eye can cause severe eye damage with ulceration of the cornea, and may cause eye damage. Skin exposure can result in irritation with discomfort or rash, bleaching of the skin and hair. Prolonged exposure may result in skin irritation., Inhalation of 3% formulated vapors can cause irritation of the nose and throat and possible irritation of the upper respiratory passages or non-specific discomfort such as nausea. Inhalation of a 6% formulation may cause irritation of the nose and throat and possible difficulty in breathing, shortness of breath. Ingestion at 3% and 6% may cause irritation of the gastrointestinal trace with upper abdominal pain, "heartburn", nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, "coffee grounds" vomitus and "black tarry" stools may occur as a result of gastrointestinal tract bleeding. Gross overexposure include red blood cell destruction, or gas embolism. Gross over exposure by ingestion may be fatal. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
