SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Emergency overview: DANGER, CORROSIVE. Causes severe burns to skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE (SKIN, EYE CONTACT; INHALATION; INGESTION) EYE CONTACT Causes severe irritation and possible tissue burns, permanent eyes damage, or blindness. INHALATION This product does not readily form a vapor and inhalation is unlikely. If mists or sprays of this solution are inhaled, this product may cause pulmonary irritation, irritation of the mucus membranes, coughing and a sore throat. INGESTION Causes severe burns. Ingestion causes severe swelling, severe damage to the delicate tissue and danger of perforation. SKIN CONTACT Can cause severe burns with deep ulceration and permanent scarring . It can penetrate to deeper layers of skin and corrosion will continue unti! removed. The severity of injury depends on the duration of exposure.
