Potential health effects
Eye Contact: Severe irritation, tearing, redness, and blurred vision. Skin Contact: Can dry and defat skin causing cracks irritation, and dermatitis. Inhalation: Dizziness, difficulty breathing, headaches, and loss of coordination. Ingestion: Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea. Repeated Xylene is reported to have caused hearing loss in laboratory animals upon exposure to high Exposure: concentrations; such effects have not been reported in humans.
