Potential health effects
Acute Eye: Gaseous formaldehyde and wood dusts may cause irritation. Symptoms may include redness, watering, itching, or a burning sensation in the eyes. This MSDS was prepared by Unilin US-MDF. 1 Acute Skin: In sensitive individuals, formaldehyde and wood dust may cause contact dermatitis. Acute Inhalation: Gaseous formaldehyde and dusts may cause irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat. May cause respiratory sensitization, such as asthma. Pre-existing respiratory disorders may be aggravated by exposure. Acute ingestion: Not considered a probable route of exposure in normal industrial use.
Potential chronic health
This product contains formaldehyde which may cause cancer based on animal data. Repeated or prolonged exposure to formaldehyde may cause skin sensitization, dermatitis, or other allergic reactions. The degree of sensitivity varies with individuals.
