Hazard statements

H226 - Flammable liquid and vapor H304 - May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways H336 - May cause drowsiness or dizziness H411 - Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects

Prevention

Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray • Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area • Avoid release to the environment • Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking • Keep container tightly closed • Use explosion-proof electrical/ ventilating / lighting equipment • Ground/bond container and receiving equipment • Use only non-sparking tools • Take precautionary measures against static discharge • Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection

Response

IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing • Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell • IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/ shower • IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor • Do NOT induce vomiting • In case of fire: Use CO2, dry chemical, or foam to extinguish • Collect spillage

Health hazards

Inhalation The inhalation of vapours or aerosols may be irritating for the respiratory tract and for mucous membranes. Vapors inhaled in strong concentration have a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. Skin contact Causes mild skin irritation. Prolonged skin contact may defat the skin and produce dermatitis. Eye contact Burning feeling and temporary redness. Ingestion If swallowed accidentally, the product may enter the lungs due to its low viscosity and lead to the rapid development of very serious pulmonary lesions (medical survey during 48 hours). May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Skin corrosion/irritation Causes mild skin irritation. Serious eye damage/eye irritation Not classified based on available data. Sensitization Not classified as a sensitizer. Carcinogenicity This product is not classified carcinogenic. Germ Cell Mutagenicity This product is not classified as mutagenic. Reproductive toxicity Not classified. STOT - single exposure Vapors may cause drowsiness and dizziness. May cause respiratory irritation. STOT - repeated exposure Not classified.

Aspiration hazard

May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. The fluid can enter the lungs and cause damage (chemical pneumonitis, potentially fatal).

Environmental hazards

Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

2.3 Other hazards

Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Vapours are heavier than air and may spread near ground level to sources of ignition . Friction generated by product discharge can create static charges of sufficient magnitude to cause SPARKS WHICH MAY LEAD TO FIRE OR EXPLOSION.
