SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Emergency Overview Physical State @20°C Aerosol Color colorless Odor Slight Extremely flammable aerosol. Pressurized container: May burst if heated. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Inhalation of vapors in high concentration may cause irritation of respiratory system. Incomplete combustion and thermolysis may produce gases of varying toxicity such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, various hydrocarbons, aldehydes and soot. These may be highly dangerous if inhaled in confined spaces or at high concentration. Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
Aerosols - Category 1 Aspiration toxicity - Category 1 Specific target organ systemic toxicity (single exposure) - Category 3 Acute aquatic toxicity - Category 2 Chronic aquatic toxicity - Category 2 Page 1 / 14 Version APCN

Hazard statements
H222 - Extremely flammable aerosol H229 - Pressurized container: May burst if heated H304 - May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways H336 - May cause drowsiness or dizziness H411 - Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects
Prevention
Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray • Wash face, hands and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling • Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area • Avoid release to the environment • Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking • Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source • Do not pierce or burn, even after use
Response
IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing • Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell • IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor • Do NOT induce vomiting • Collect spillage

Health hazards
Inhalation Inhalation of vapors in high concentration may cause irritation of respiratory system. Vapors may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Skin contact Not classified based on available data. Eye contact Not classified based on available data. Ingestion May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. If swallowed accidentally, the product may enter the lungs due to its low viscosity and lead to the rapid development of very serious pulmonary lesions (medical survey during 48 hours). Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Skin corrosion/irritation Not classified based on available data. Serious eye damage/eye irritation Not classified based on available data. Sensitization Not classified based on available data. Carcinogenicity Not classified based on available data. Germ Cell Mutagenicity Not classified based on available data. Reproductive toxicity Not classified based on available data. Target Organ Effects (STOT) None known. STOT - single exposure May cause drowsiness and dizziness. STOT - repeated exposure Not classified based on available data.
Other hazards
Characteristic skin lesions (pimples) may develop following prolonged and repeated exposures (contact with contaminated clothing).
Aspiration hazard
May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. The fluid can enter the lungs and cause damage (chemical pneumonitis, potentially fatal).
Environmental hazards
Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
2.3 Other hazards
Aerosol: Pressurised container. This product contains a flammable component. The product may form an oil film on the water surface that may stop the oxygen exchange.
