Hazard statements
H220 - Extremely flammable gas
Precautionary statements
P102 - Keep out of reach of children P210 - Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking P377 - Leaking gas fire: Do not extinguish, unless leak can be stopped safely P381 - Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so P403 - Store in a well-ventilated place Single packages : Transport labelling is permitted. Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, ANNEX I, 1.3.2 : Derogations from labelling requirements for special cases. Gas containers intended for propane, butane or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
2.3 Other hazards
Physical-Chemical Properties Extremely flammable. May form explosive mixtures with air. In case of a leak, this gas travels along the ground since it is HEAVIER THAN AIR, and may ACCUMULATE IN LOW AREAS IF VENTILATION IS INSUFFICIENT with a risk of remote ignition. Accidental intense heating (in case of fire for example) of a container filled with this gas can lead to bursting and spreading of the product whose vapours may ignite causing deflagration or explosion.
Potential health effects
In the gaseous phase: may have a slight anaesthetic effect and/or an asphyxiating effect as it reduces the oxygen content in the air. Contact with product may cause frostbite.
