SECTION 2: Hazards identification

Product definition

This product is a white, odorless lyophilized solid. Health Hazards THIS IS A CYTOTOXIC AGENT. EXPOSURE BY ALL ROUTES OF EXPOSURE MUST BE AVOIDED. In the workplace, exposure via inhalation or skin contact may cause irritation. Eye contact can cause mechanical irritation. May be harmful if swallowed or inhaled. In therapeutic use, this product may induce blood disorders and/or aggravate pre- existing blood disorders, hepatobiliary disorders, skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders. May cause anaphylactoid reaction. Chronic exposure may cause adverse effects on liver, lungs, skin and blood. Suspect carcinogen. May cause harm to the fetus, based on animal information. Has been shown to be mutagenic both in vitro and in vivo studies. These effects may be possible as a result of workplace exposure. Refer to Section 11 (Toxicological Information) for

on adverse effects. Flammability Hazards The powdered product requires substantial pre- heating before ignition occurs. When involved in a fire, this material may decompose and produce irritating vapors and toxic compounds (including carbon and nitrogen oxides.). Reactivity Hazards: This product is not reactive.

Environmental hazards

This product has not been tested for environmental harm; all release to the environment should be avoided. Emergency Recommendations: Emergency responders must wear personal protective equipment suitable for the situation to which they are responding.
