Potential health effects

EYE Vapors from product are irritating to eyes. Causes irritation, which may be delayed and damage may occur without sensation or onset of pain. SKIN Brief contact causes irritation (itching, local redness or possible swelling), which may be delayed. Damage may occur without sensation or onset of pain. Prolonged or repeated contact may lead to dermatitis. May cause defatting, drying and cracking of skin. Can cause irritation, especially under fingernails and other confined spaces such as under rings or watchbands. May be absorbed through intact skin. INGESTION Not a likely route of exposure. Product causes irritation, a burning sensation of mouth and throat and abdominal pain. INHALATION Product is irritating to nose, throat and respiratory tract.

Other Health Effects

Intentional misuse of organic solvents (eg glue sniffing) over prolonged periods may be habit forming and lead to behavioral changes. May cause central nervous system depression, liver damage, kidney damage, systemic poisoning and death. CNS depression is characterized by headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting and in-coordination. Severe overexposure may lead to coma and possible death due to respiratory failure.
