Prevention
Harmful if swallowed or inhaled. Injurious to mucous membrane, eyes, and skin. Causes severe burns. Do not breathe dusts or mists. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
Response
If swallowed, rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting. If on skin, take off contaminated clothing immediately and rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If inhaled, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a poison center or physician. If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
Storage
Store containers locked up in an upright position. Store in a corrosive resistant container with a resistant inner liner Ensure container lids are in place and secure when not in use. Do not use aluminum containers.
