Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. May cause allergic skin reaction. May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. May be corrosive to metals.

Prevention

Do not breathe dust. Wash skin thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Contaminated work clothing must not be allowed out of the workplace. Keep only in original container.

Response

IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. IF ON SKIN (OR HAIR): Immediately take off all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. IF SKIN IRRITATION OR RASH OCCURS: Get medical advice/attention. IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a physician or poison control center. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a physician or poison control center. IF EXPOSED OR CONCERNED: Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell. Absorb spillage to prevent material damage.

Storage

Store locked up. Store in corrosive-resistant container with corrosive-resistant inner liner. Keep tightly capped. Store out of direct sunlight between 36°F–85°F.

Disposal

Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.
