See Section 11 for additional Toxicological information. Ingestion Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Harmful if swallowed. Do not taste or swallow. Ingestion causes burns of the upper digestive and respiratory tracts. Can burn mouth, throat, and stomach. Eyes Corrosive to the eyes and may cause severe damage including blindness. Causes burns. Risk of serious damage to eyes. Skin Inhalation Prolonged or repeated contact may dry skin and cause irritation. Causes burns. Harmful by inhalation. Avoid breathing vapors or mists.
Potential chronic health
Chronic exposure to corrosive fumes/gases may cause erosion of the teeth followed by jaw necrosis. Bronchial irritation with chronic cough and frequent attacks of pneumonia are common. Gastrointestinal disturbances may also be seen. Avoid repeated exposure. Possible risks of irreversible effects.
