Hemolysates prepared from packed human erythrocytes. SECTION 3 – HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION This product is prepared from human source material. All individual human blood donor units used to manufacture calibrators were tested by FDA approved methods and found to be non-reactive for HBsAG, HIV-1, HIV-2, and HCV. Even though tests indicate calibrators are non-reactive for the above stated diseases, treat as a potential biohazard, Class II (CDC/NIH guidelines).
