SECTION 2: Hazards identification
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW DANGER: CORROSIVE. MAY CAUSES BURNS TO THE RESPIRATORY TRACT, SKIN, EYES. MAY CAUSES PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE. EFFECTS OF CONTACT MAY BE DELAYED. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. Mixing with acid or incompatible materials may cause splattering and release of heat. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not breathe vapor or mist. Keep container tightly closed. Wash thoroughly after handling Use only with adequate ventilation.
Potential health effects
Eye: Destructive to eye tissue on contact. Causes severe burns that can result in blindness. Eye damage may be delayed. Skin: May cause skin irritation and with longer exposure severe burns. Inhalation: May cause severe irritation of the respiratory tract. Ingestion: May cause severe burns of mouth, throat, esophagus and stomach. Severe scarring of tissue may result. Damage may appear days after exposure.
