Principle Routes of Exposure
Dermal R 1 Acute Effects Inhalation: This is a viscous fluid that does not easily form a mist or vapor and, therefore, inhalation hazards are minimal. Eye: Similar silicone fluids are non-irritating to eyes. A slight transient irritation is possible. Skin: Similar silicone fluids are non-irritating to intact and abraded skin. Ingestion: Animal tests for similar silicone fluids suggest very low acute oral toxicity. Carcinogenicity: IARC and NTP lists Crystalline Silica (Quartz) as a possible carcinogen.
