SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Inhalation: Inhalation of vapor at elevated temperatures may cause respiratory irritation. Ingestion: Dibenzoyl Methane was granted GRAS status by FEMA (1965) and is approved by FDA for food use under the reference 21 CFR 121. 1164. In 1970, the Council of Europe included Dibenzoyl Methane at 2 ppm, in the list of admissible artificial food flavourings. Eye contact: Expected to be mildly irritating to the eyes. Skin contact: Human skin testing at 6% concentration in petrolatum produced no reaction.
