In contact with water releases flammable gases, which may ignite spontaneously. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage
Prevention
Do not allow contact with water Handle under inert gas. Protect from moisture. Do not breathe dusts or mists. Wash hands and forearms thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
Response
Brush off loose particles from skin and immerse in cool water/wrap in wet bandages. In case of fire: Use dry chemical, sand, or earth to smother the fire. Do not use CO2 or halogenated hydrocarbons. Do not use water or foam. If swallowed: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. If on skin (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If inhaled: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a poison center/doctor. If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
Storage
Store locked up. Store in a dry place. Store in a closed container.

Dispose of contents/container to a certified hazardous materials handling facility. Contact the supplier for further information.
