Response

P301+330+331 - IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. P303+361+353 - IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. P363 - Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. P304+340 - IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. P305+351+338 - IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. P310 - Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. P321 - Specific treatment see Section 4 reference to supplemental first aid instruction - if immediate measures are required.

Potential health effects

The severity of injury depends on the concentration of the solution and the duration of (Acute and Chronic): exposure. Chronic: Not available. Inhalation: Can cause severe respiratory irritation. Vapors are extremely irritating and corrosive. Material is extremely destructive to tissue of the mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract, eyes, and skin. High concentrations may cause acute pulmonary edema. Skin Contact: Can cause severe injury (reddening and swelling). Causes skin burns. Severely irritating, may cause permanent skin damage. Eye Contact: Corrosive. Will cause eye burns and permanent tissue damage. Ingestion: Can burn mouth, throat and stomach.
