Other hazards
Liquid evaporates quickly and can ignite leading to a flash fire, or an explosion in a confined space A component or components of this material may cause cancer. This product contains benzene which may cause leukaemia (AML - acute myelogenous leukae- mia). This material is a static accumulator. Even with proper grounding and bonding, this material can still accumulate an electrostatic charge. If sufficient charge is allowed to accumulate, electrostatic discharge and ignition of flammable air- vapour mixtures can occur. May cause MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). Hydrogen sulphide (H2S), an extremely flammable and toxic gas, and other hazardous vapours may evolve and collect in the headspace of storage tanks, transport vessels and other enclosed containers.
