2.3 Other hazards
The physical risk is assessed as very low. The human serum used for the production of this control was checked by recognized tests for HbsAG, Anti HIV I and II and Anti HCV and found to be negative. Since the known test methods cannot rule out for certain that blood derivatives or preparations produced from the latter may communicate infectious diseases, they are considered as being potentially infectious and the corresponding precautions should be observed.
