OSHA EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Acute Health Hazards
Concentrate is corrosive to mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, mouth, throat, esophagus and stomach. Corrosive to the eye and skin with possible permanent corneal damage. Overexposure to fumes generated above 140°F (60°C) may cause throat irritation. Very excessive overexposure may result in central nervous system depression.
Health hazards
The chronic local effect may consist of areas of primary irritant dermatitis. Inhalation of spray or mists may result in varying degrees of irritation or damage to the respiratory tract tissues.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure
Pre-existing skin, eye and respiratory disorders may be aggravated by exposure to this material.
Potential health effects
INHALATION: May cause irritation to the nose and throat. SKIN: Concentrate will irritate the skin if not washed off. Diluted solution may irritate the skin after prolonged or repeated contact. EYES: Concentrate will irritate the eyes. If not properly washed off, may cause permanent corneal damage. INGESTION: Single dose oral LD50 > 800mg (rat) based on components of concentrate. Will irritate mouth, throat and stomach. CARCINOGENICITY: NTP? NO IARC MONOGRAPHS? NO
