SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Effects of Exposure / Symptoms: Phorate has a very high acute toxicity to humans, fish and wildlife. It is a cholinesterase inhibitor. Symptoms include headache, tightness of chest, nausea or vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, convulsions. Absorption through the skin may have the same effects.
