OSHA EFFECTS FROM ACUTE EXPOSURE: INGESTION: Severe burns to mucous membranes of mouth, throat and digestive tract. May be fatal if swallowed. SKIN CONTACT: Corrosive; Prolonged contact causes severe burns which may not be immediately painful or visible. INHALATION: Inhalation of dust or mist may cause nose and respiratory irritation. Can cause damage to mucous membranes of nose, throat, respiratory tract and lung tissue depending on severity of exposure. EYE CONTACT: Causes severe eye burns. May cause permanent eye damage. May cause blindness.
