Principle Routes of Exposure
EMERGENCY WARNING May cause injury to eyes. Causes skin irritation. Dust may result in material in eyes, ears, nose & mouth – OVERVIEW causing irritation. EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE Eye Contact May cause irritation. Skin Contact Wet cement may dry skin & result in alkali burns. Inhalation Dust may cause irritation to nose, throat & respiratory tract. Ingestion: Irritating to mouth, throat & stomach. Chronic Exposure: IARC has determined that silica, crystalline (present in calcium carbonate filler), when inhaled is carcinogenic to humans.
