2.3 Other hazards
The molten form can cause thermal burns if in contact with skin. Eye Contact: Dust may cause irritation. Heating above the melting point releases metallic oxides which may cause metal fume fever by inhalation. The symptoms are shivering, fever, malaise and muscular pain.
