SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Not regarded as a health or environmental hazard under current legislation. The grain size distribution of this product gives potential for generation of airborne respirable crystalline silica dust during handling and use. Prolonged and/or massive inhalation of respirable crystalline silica dust may cause lung fibrosis, commonly referred to as silicosis. Principal symptoms of silicosis are cough and breathlessness. Occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica dust should be monitored or controlled.
