Principle Routes of Exposure
Inhalation, skin and eye contact. Acute Effects Eye: Contact may cause chemical burns which may result in permanent eye damage. Skin: Contact may cause severe skin irritation. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause defatting or drying of the skin which may lead to irritation and /or dermatitis (rash). May be absorbed through the skin. Inhalation: Inhalation of high concentrations of xylene may cause respiratory irritation and central nervous system effects progressing from headache, dizziness, staggering gait and confusion to unconsciousness, coma, and death. The severity of these effects will be dependent on the vapor concentration and length of exposure. Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed.
Potential chronic health
Prolonged or repeated contact with silver may result in argyria, a blue-gray discoloration of the eyes, skin or other body tissue. Once deposited, there is no known means by which the silver can be eliminated; the pigmentation is permanent. This product contains ethyl benzene. Prolonged or repeated overexposure to ethyl benzene by inhalation may damage the liver, kidneys and bone marrow. This product contains an organotin compound. Studies involving inhalation exposure of rodent to organotin compounds have identified changes and injury to the heart, liver, kidneys and central nervous system. of overexposure to zinc chromate may include damage to nasal passages, skin ulcers and allergic skin reactions. Chromium and certain chromium compounds are considered to be known carcinogens by the National Toxicology Program. The International Agency for Research on Cancer considers these compounds to be casually associated with cancer in humans. However, the specific chromium compounds responsible have not been identified. Special Condition Effects: No data available for this product mixture.
