Accidental release measures: - If swallowed, rinse mouth and seek medical advice immediately; - At spillages pick up the spilled sodium cyanide in a dry container and close hermetically, handle the spillage area with decontaminating solutions (mixture of 10% solution of ferric sulphate and 10% solution of caustic lime in the ratio 2:1 or solution of sodium hypochloride). Conditions for safe storage: - Keep closed, do not allow product to get in contact with water and carbon dioxide. (1)
