Additional information

Short Term: Chest pain, acute myocardial infarction, and sudden death have occurred during temporary withdrawal of organic nitrates from industrial workers exposed for long periods of time. Known Clinical Effects: Headache, which may be severe and persistent, may occur immediately after use. Vertigo, dizziness, weakness, palpitation, and other manifestations of postural hypotension may develop occasionally. Flushing, drug rash, and exfoliative dermatitis have been reported in patients receiving nitrate therapy.
