Potential health effects
Eyes Causes eye irritation. Skin Prolonged exposure may cause skin irritation Inhalation Inhalation of vapors may cause irritation of respiratory tract. Inhalation of concentrated vapors may cause dizziness, headache, and depression of the central nervous system. Exposure to vapors may also affect the lungs, liver, and kidney Ingestion Harmful if swallowed; may cause depression of the central nervous system and irritation of tissues. Long-term 1,2-Epoxybutane is classified by IARC as a possible human carcinogen, category 2B. n-Propyl exposure bromide is suspected of damaging fertility. Long term exposure to n-Propyl bromide may affect the central nervous system and other organs.
