Emergency Overview: Corrosive. Causes severe eye damage. Causes skin burns. Inhalation of dust may cause mucous membrane and respiratory irritation and burns with possible pulmonary edema. May be fatal if swallowed.
Potential Acute Health Effects
Eyes: Corrosive. Dust causes severe irritation or burns with redness, tearing and stinging of the eyes. May cause permanent eye damage. Skin: Causes severe irritation and burns with scarring. Inhalation: Inhalation of dust may cause severe irritation of the nose throat and upper respiratory tract. Severe exposures may cause pulmonary edema and death. Ingestion: Ingestion may cause corrosion of the mucous membranes, esophagus and stomach with shock and possible perforation and peritonitis. May be fatal.
