Odor None OSHA Regulatory Status Over-the counter drugs in their final form as sold to the consumer are considered exempt under the criteria of the Federal OSHA Communication Standard 29CFR1910.1200. However, if exposure may occur in the industrial setting, outside of personal use, the occupational exposure limits may be exceeded and may be considered hazardous.

Principle Routes of Exposure

Skin contact. Ingestion. Allergy alert: Naproxen sodium may cause a severe allergic reaction, especially in people allergic to aspirin. Symptoms may include hives, facial swelling, asthma (wheezing), shock, skin, reddening, rash, and blisters. Acute Toxicity Eyes Not an expected route of exposure. Dust contact with the eyes can lead to mechanical irritation. Skin Not an expected route of exposure. Contact with dust can cause mechanical irritation or drying of the skin. Inhalation Not an expected route of exposure. Inhalation of dust in high concentration may cause irritation of respiratory system. Ingestion No known effect when taken as indicated. Ingestion at levels above recommended values may be harmful. See package insert for further information.

Potential chronic health

Titanium dioxide has been classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B) by inhalation. This product contains titanium dioxide in a non-respirable form. Inhalation of titanium dioxide is unlikely to occur from exposure to this product.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure

Allergies. Asthma Gastrointestinal tract. Kidney disorders. Liver disorders. As with any supplement, if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medication, consult your doctor before use. Stomach bleeding warning: This product contains an NSAID, which may cause severe stomach bleeding. The chance is higher if you are age 60 or older, have had stomach ulcers or bleeding problems, take a blood thinning (anticoagulant) or steroid drug, take other drugs containing prescription or nonprescription NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or others), have 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day while using this product, or take more or for a longer time than directed.
