SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Toxicity: Causes moderate eye irritation. Causes moderate skin irritation. May cause skin sensitization. This material has been shown to be mutagenic in some microbial assays, but has failed to produce mutagenic activity in others. Chromosomal aberrations have been observed in cultured rat liver cells. LD50 oral - 11.4 g/kg. LD50 dermal - >20 ml/kg.
Principle Routes of Exposure
Eye and skin contact, ingestion, inhalation. Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: May cause redness to eyes and irritation to nasal passages. May cause skin irritation. Contact with product at elevated temperatures can result in thermal burns. Based on testing, this product is not likely to be an inhalation hazard and is considered to have a low order of acute toxicity. Medical Conditions Recognized as Being Preexisting eye, skin and respiratory disorders may be aggravated by overexposure to this product. Aggravated by Exposure:
