Principle Routes of Exposure

Dermal, ingestion, inhalation EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: Acute -Eye or skin contact may cause irritation. Can be irritating to the respiratory tract if inhaled as a mist or concentrated vapor. Inhalation of the vapors, or ingestion of the liquid, can cause systemic toxicity including dizziness, confusion, drowsiness, un-coordination, staggering gait, nausea, headache. Aspiration may also lead to chemical pneumonia Chronic -Reports have associated repeated and prolonged overexposure to solvents with permanent brain damage and nervous system damage 40 STABILITY: (Conditions to avoid) Avoid open flames, welding arcs or other high temperature sources which induce thermal decomposition. Avoid strong oxidants. HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Hydrogen chloride and very small amounts of phosgene and chlorine. HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur. Section 7 - Spill or Leak Procedure STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED SMALL LEAKS Mop up, wipe up, or soak up immediately remove to out-of-doors. LARGE SPILLS: Evacuate area. Contain liquid; transfer to closed metal containers. Keep out of water supplies. DISPOSAL METHOD: When disposing of the unused contents, the preferred options are to send to licensed reclaimer, or to permitted incinerators. Any disposal practice must be in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Do not dump into sewers, on the ground, or into any body of water. Section 8 - Special Protection Information RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Use a supplied air respirator when airborne exposure limits are exceeded. VENTILATION: Control airborne concentrations below the exposure guideline. Use only with adequate ventilation. Local exhaust ventilation may be necessary for some operations. Lethal concentrations may exist in areas with poor ventilation. SKIN PROTECTION: For brief contact, no precautions other than clean body-covering clothing should be needed. When prolonged or frequently repeated contact could occur, use protective clothing impervious to this material. Selection of specific items such as gloves, boots, apron, or fully body suit will depend on operation. EYE PROTECTION: Use safety glasses. Where contact with liquid is likely, chemical goggles are recommended. OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: It is suggested that a source of clean water be available in work area for flushing eyes and skin. Section 9 - Special Precautions PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING OR STORING: Do not store above 125 °F. OTHER PRECAUTIONS: Do not take internally. Do not use in areas of inadequate ventilation. Health hazards

Data THRESHOLD LIMIT VALUE: See Section 2 Data Eye Exposure :Flush immediately with copious amounts of tap water of normal saline (minimum of 15 minutes) Take exposed individual to a health care professional, preferably an ophthalmologist, for further evaluation. Skin Exposure: Wash exposed area with plenty of water. Repeat washing. Remove contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly before reuse. If irritation persists consult a health care professional. Inhalation: If exposure by inhalation is suspected, immediately move exposed individual to fresh air. If individual experiences nausea, headache, dizziness, has difficulty in breathing or is cyanotic, seek a health car professional immediately. Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Rinse with copious amounts of water or milk, first. Irrigate the esophagus and dilute stomach contents by slowly giving one to two glasses of water or milk. 42 Avoid giving Alcohol or alcohol related products. In cases where the individual is semi- comatose, comatose or convulsing DO NOT GIVE FLUIDS BY MOUTH. In case of intentional ingestion of the product seek medical assistance immediately; take individual to nearest medical facility.
