Emergency Overview:
Appearance/Odor
Clear dark to light amber colored liquid with a mild amine odor Warning Statements Danger. Keep out of reach of children. Corrosive. Causes irreversible eye damage. May be fatal if absorbed through skin. Harmful if swallowed. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.
Principle Routes of Exposure
Inhalation, eye and skin contact Eye Contact: Causes irreversible eye damage. Vapors and mist can cause irritation. Skin Contact: Slightly irritating based on toxicity studies. Overexposure by skin absorption may cause symptoms similar to those for ingestion. Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. May cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, decreased blood pressure, muscle weakness, muscle spasms. Inhalation: Low inhalation toxicity.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure
Inhalation of product may aggravate existing chronic respiratory problems such as asthma, emphysema or bronchitis. Skin contact may aggravate existing skin disease. See Section 11: TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION for more information.
