Principle Routes of Exposure
Eye and skin contact, ingestion, inhalation Eye Contact: Moderately but temporarily irritating to the eyes. Skin Contact: Mildly irritating. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Ingestion: Relatively nontoxic after single ingestion. Inhalation: Low inhalation toxicity. May irritate the respiratory tract.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure
Inhalation of product may aggravate existing chronic respiratory problems such as asthma, emphysema or bronchitis. Skin contact may aggravate existing skin disease. Kidney and liver disorders may be aggravated by exposure. See Section 11: TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION for more information.
Environmental effects
Prohexadione calcium is toxic to aquatic plants. Do not release untreated into natural waters. Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate. See Section 12: ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION for more information.
