Potential health effects

Eye: CORROSIVE. Contact with eyes is painful and irritating and may cause chemical burns, necrosis and permanent injury. Skin: Corrosive and irritating. Chemical burns may result from contact. Causes the following effects – discomfort or pain, marked local redness, swelling. Prolonged and /or widespread contact may result in absorption of potentially harmful amounts of material. May cause allergic reaction. Ingestion: Corrosive and irritating to digestive tract. Affects mouth, throat, esophagus and stomach. Moderately toxic. May causes discomfort or pain in the mouth, throat, chest and abdomen. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, faintness, weakness, drowsiness, thirst, confusion, drunken behavior, and coma. Inhalation: Very toxic.
