Disposal]:]] Note on GHS Hazard Assignments: The Verigene® Nucleic Acid Test Kit is a closed system comprising 10 compartments. Each compartment is filled with a Solution, and each Solution has a maximum volume of 225 µl. 6 different Solutions are used in each cartridge: Solution 1 (in 4 compartments), Solution 2, Solution 3, Solution 4, Solution 5 and Solution 6. This Safety Data Sheet assigns Hazards to the entire closed system, as a whole. However, each compartment's contents contain a Solution of differing Hazard classifications. The Hazards of each individual Solution are outlined below. These Solutions are contained in a closed system to prevent any accidental exposure. In the event of an accidental exposure to any of the Solutions, there are not expected to be any significant effects on health, either acute or chronic, due to the miniscule volume of each Solution. Solution 1: H360 - May damage fertility or the unborn child Solution 2: No Hazards Solution 3: H315 - Causes skin irritation H319 - Causes serious eye irritation H333 - May be harmful if inhaled Solution 4: No Hazards Solution 5: H360 - May damage fertility or the unborn child Solution 6: H225 - Highly flammable liquid and vapor H301 - Toxic if swallowed H311 - Toxic in contact with skin H331 - Toxic if inhaled H370 - Causes damage to organs
