OSHA EMERGENCY OVERVIEW Appearance Odor Chemical Family Clear, pale yellow liquid. Sweet odor. Aqueous Mixture ROUTES OF ENTRY Inhalation Skin Contact Eyes No Yes POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS EYES DANGER! Corrosive to eyes. May cause severe and permanent eye damage. May cause blindness. SKIN Corrosive! Causes severe skin burns. Do not get on skin or on clothing. The detergent constituents of this product enhance defatting and damage to skin, eyes, and mucous membrane tissues. INGESTION Corrosive to mucous membranes. May cause perforation of the esophagus and stomach. Causes severe gastric disturbances, including abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and general gastrointestinal upset, if swallowed. Aspiration into the respiratory tract may injure lungs. The detergent constiuents of this product are moderately toxic by ingestion. INHALATION Mists or aerosols may cause severe irritation or burns to the respiratory tract irritation, if inhaled. Symptoms may include irritation to the nose, throat, and upper respiratory tract, coughing, sore throat, and shortness of breath. Inhalation or aspiration will cause severe lung irritation and may produce pulmonary tract edema.
