2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
WHMIS information: This product is not a WHMIS controlled product in Canada. It does not meet any of the criteria for a controlled product provided in Part IV of the Controlled Products Regulations (CPR). Emergency Overview Pale yellow liquid. Mild odour. Caution! Possible transient eye irritation. Inhalation of vapours can cause nasal and respiratory irritation. May cause central nervous system depression.
Potential health effects
Signs and symptoms of short-term (acute) exposure Inhalation : Inhalation of vapours or mists may cause irritation to the nose, throat and upper respiratory tract. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness and other symptoms of central nervous system depression. Skin : Harmful effects are not expected under normal usage. Exposure to hot material may cause thermal burns. Eyes : May cause mild transient irritation. Ingestion : Ingestion of large amounts may cause stomach irritation. Effects of long-term (chronic) exposure Prolonged or repeated contact may cause drying, cracking and defatting of the skin. Carcinogenic status : See TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION, Section 11.
