Potential health effects
Inhalation May cause irritation of the mucous membranes. Eye contact Contact with eyes may cause irritation. Skin contact Prolonged skin contact may cause skin irritation. Ingestion Acute intoxication by inhalation or ingestion of water soluble barium salts causes vomiting, diarrhoea, convulsive tremors and muscular paralysis. Risk of convulsions, pulmonary arrest.
