Angiotensin II is a hormone that interacts with the central nervous system to regulate renal sympathetic nerve activity, renal function, and (therefore) blood pressure. It plays a critical role in the regulation of water and sodium homeostasis. In clinical trials, the most commonly reported adverse effects associated with use of angiotensin II include increased blood pressure, increased urine output, transient headache, palpitations, sodium retention accompanied by weight gain, and excretion of excessive amounts of sodium in the urine. Based on its pharmacological effect (i.e., vasoconstriction), the potential for angiotensin II acetate to adversely affect fertility and/or fetal development cannot be ruled out in the absence of definitive data. Note This mixture does not meet criteria for classification under GHS as implemented
