SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Emergency Overview: Prolonged exposure to high vapour concentration can cause headache, dizziness, nausea and central nervous system depression. When aspirated into the lungs, the liquid can cause severe inflammation of the lungs. Pre-existing eye, skin, and respiratory disorders may be aggravated by exposure to this product. In rare cases, may sensitize the heart muscle causing heart arythmia. ROUTES OF ENTRY INTO THE BODY Skin contact, Eye contact, Inhalation (acute), Inhalation (chronic) EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE TO MATERIAL: Skin contact: None expected on short term contact. Eye contact: Mild eye irritant. Ingestion: Gastro-intestinal tract irritation. Inhalation: Mild irritant to respiratory passage. EFFECTS OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE TO MATERIAL: Skin contact: Repeated and prolonged contact with skin may cause defatting and drying skin.
