2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
This mixture/material is the result of grinding cured EPDM colored rubber. All ingredients are bound in a polymer matrix and cured into a final form before grinding. Since all of these ingredients are bound in a crosslinked matrix of cured rubber, this product does not qualify as a hazardous material as defined by OSHA 29CFR 1910.1200. Note: This material has not been evaluated, however, in its present state; the potential for any hazards is minimal and unlikely. Some fumes may be released upon heating or vulcanization and the end-user must take the necessary precautions (mechanical ventilation, respirator program, etc.) to protect his employees from exposure.
