Avoid inhalation of dusts as well as prolonged and repeated contact with skin. Most diamond tools are used along with water to keep blades cool and to decrease airborne contaminants. For dry sawing and grinding, maintain adequate ventilation or use local exhaust. Description of Hazards Dust created by grinding and/or sawing can cause irritation to eyes, nose, throat and skin. Long term overexposure to dusts can lead to respiratory impairment. Grinding or sawing may produce an elevated noise which can affect hearing. Particles of various size ejected during grinding or sawing may pose impact hazards to eyes and skin.
