The hazards listed below may occur if the PELs and/or TLVs exceed the constituent’s established values listed in section 3: Methyl methacrylate: Methyl methacrylate is the liquid monomer, one of the components involved in the polymerization process of PMMA. Potential hazards associated with methyl methacrylate are the following: May cause irritation to the upper respiratory, skin, throat, and eyes; dermatitis; pulmonary edema (An abnormal build-up of fluid in the air sacs of the lungs). Titanium Dioxide: Irritation to the lower respiratory tract.
